1. Who is responsible for your data

Edge Compute Tech Pvt Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What personal data we collect

We collect only what we need:

• Contact and enquiry data — your name, email address, company, phone number and the content of your message when you use our contact form or email us.
• Newsletter data — your email address, if you subscribe to our emails.
• Project and client data — names, roles and business contact details of the people we work with, plus correspondence and documents created during an engagement.
• Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring page and time of the visit, recorded automatically in our hosting provider's server logs.

We do not knowingly collect data from children, and we do not collect special categories of personal data (such as health or biometric data).

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To answer your enquiry and prepare a quotation — steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• To deliver our engineering services and manage the client relationship — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To send our newsletter — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
• To keep the website secure, available and free from abuse — our legitimate interest in protecting our systems (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• To meet accounting, tax and other legal obligations — compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal data only where necessary, and only with:

• Service providers acting on our instructions — website hosting, email and office software, newsletter delivery, and accounting. These providers process data as our processors under a data processing agreement.
• Project partners — certified test laboratories, antenna manufacturers and suppliers, where this is needed to deliver your project, and limited to the details required.
• Authorities, advisers or auditors — where we are legally required to disclose data, or need to establish or defend a legal claim.

5. Transfers outside the EU/EEA

We aim to keep personal data within the EU/EEA. Where a provider or project partner processes data outside the EU/EEA, we only transfer data if the country has an adequacy decision from the European Commission, or the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses together with any additional safeguards needed. You can request a copy of the safeguards we rely on by emailing us.

6. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement — up to 12 months from our last contact.
• Client, contract and project records — for the duration of the engagement and then as required by Swedish accounting law (currently seven years).
• Newsletter subscriptions — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address.
• Server logs — normally up to 12 months.

When a retention period ends, we delete the data or anonymise it so it can no longer identify you.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy.
• Rectify data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Erase your data where there is no longer a valid reason for us to keep it.
• Restrict or object to our processing, including processing based on our legitimate interests.
• Data portability — receive data you gave us in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before you withdrew it.

If you believe we handle your data incorrectly, you can lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY), Box 8114, 104 20 Stockholm, [email protected] — or with the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live or work.

8. Do you have to provide your data?

Providing personal data is voluntary. However, if you do not give us your contact details we cannot answer your enquiry, send you a quotation or deliver a project.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to people who need it, and providers who commit to comparable standards. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
